I used the pink anti-static foam that electronic parts are wrapped in. Other found material is probably ok too. If you want something fancier, there are many options from McMaster-Carr: https://www.mcmaster.com/foam/
Strip caulk is sometimes called butyl caulk. You can buy it at the hardware store as "Moretite" or online. It's used for sealing leaks around windows and such.
3M sells strip caulk for body work that you can buy in several colors. Same thing, but packaged for the body shop trade. Also available at RV supply stores.
