I am in the process of freshening an old 360. I am at the point o re-installing the timing chain cover. My problems is the manual I have says that there a piece between the seal in the cover and the flinger (domed shade piece) that goes against the timing chain.

i am almost certain that this piece wasn't there when I was taking it apart.

Timming Gear, Oil Slinger, Cover. The Balancer tightens against the slinger and timming gear. This is as per my FSM.
