Dana 60 rear disk brake kit?

Someone posted on here stating they found a D60 disk brake kit for $150.

I can't seem to find it.

Anyone heard of this?

$150? I'd imagine that's only brackets, but I could be wrong. I paid $385 for a complete kit with rotors, calipers, pads, wheel seals, brackets and all hardware and 2 soft lines. And I thought that was a deal at the time, I'll be shocked if there is one similar for less than half of what I paid.

Yea, isn't that always how it goes? The best deals always seem to be on the opposite side of the country!

Has the brackets for reasonable... A quick cheap trek to the wrecking yard should yield everything else you need at a very good price. Let us know what you end up with...

thanks for the link.

I'm reading that there really isn't a 'bolt on' disc brake conversion for a Dodge D60, so I'm going the weld on route. http://www.cutthroat4x4.com/catalog/...0431b77bbdc14d

I will run by the yard and grab calipers/rotors.

Why do the weld on when you can get their bolt on J20 conversion brackets?

http://www.cutthroat4x4.com/catalog/...products_id=60

Or Dodge D60 brackets, as you prefer:

Because I've read (on here and other forums) that the Dodge D60's are 'different' and almost always require modification to the bracket to make them work. That and I have a perfectly good 220V MIG that works perfect.

If I wanted a true bolt on solution I would swap over to a 14bolt (which I am thinking about doing anyway so both my FSJ's match).

I'm not pushing these guys at all! But they also have the weld on brackets. Prices seem pretty reasonable to me. Little on the Zoomy side as far as looks but who sees them anyway? http://www.bluetorchfab.com/Category...-Brackets.aspx

Wow derf that bracket from cutthroat4x4 looks just like the bracket I designed with virginia4x4. See thread: http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showt...&highlight=d60

The 8 hole pattern that is offset from center was my idea. It was done so the bracket could be flipped over and reinstalled to give more caliper mounting positions. I guess someone else thought it was a good idea also. Funny that I never received a thank-you email. Anyway, it is no big deal, the more suppliers we have making parts for our rigs the better.

I just noticed that the 540 area code for cutthroat 4x4 is in Virginia. How much you want to bet that Rob from virginia4x4 is now at cutthroat4x4. Either way Rob was a great guy to work with when getting brackets made for my D60.

Blake...I considered the weld on route for my axle but in the end I didn't like having to cut off the flange plate at the axle tube end to weld the bracket on. The bolt on solution gives you the option moving the setup to another axle or selling the parts if you ever switch to another axle.

The kit I was referring to is a bolt-on for dodge d60. Look up GubNi on either Pirate4x4 or NC4x4. $385 shipped and it comes with everything you need, no modification required.

If you want all new parts....

You can't really beat this. I've installed this kit on a D44/60 hybrid (the one in my avatar actually) a while back and it couldn't have been any easier.
