Switching from 6 lug to 5 lug

I have a 1977 Cherokee and I would like to change from the 6 lug to 5 lug. Is that a difficult to do? Any help would be appreciated.

front axle is easy. ford stuff. rear axle would need custom shafts or just a 5 lug rear axle swapped in.

Ok, I'll bite: why would you want to change from 6 to 5 lugs?

Most swaps go the other way. You have a particular rim in mind?

Seemed like a good idea at the time...

If you have good tires on 5 lug wheels, sell the wheels and buy 6 lug wheels. Unless you are very lucky, you'll spend a lot of time searching for a 5-lug rear axle, and it will very likely need to be re-geared to your current ratio. And parts for the front axle won't be free.

Could go a matching Ford axle pair.
Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental.
