BJ's OFF-ROAD headliner install

You have to give some measurements before you order. My guess is that jeep made a few changes in where they split the headliner. It is made to order and took a few weeks to come in, maybe three. It comes with some basic instructions. I was at a disadvantage due to the fact, my original headliner was in bad shape and was removed years ago and did not remember much about how I pulled it out. It would have been better to pull the old one out and replace it with the new one within a few weeks. I would not leave it in the box for a long period of time. I pulled mine out the day it arrived.

This is what you can expect when you pull it out of the box. I was a little worried if it would ever lay flat, but it was fine.

I installed the rear piece first, but I had to remove it because the front piece has some predrilled holes for the sun visors at the front and center, and it really can only go in one place. I would do the front piece first. Here is the back piece before I pulled it out.

My factory trim is cracked, so I'am going to make my own from a piece of aluminum trim I found a Home Depot.

This is what I used, and it looks and fit pretty good. But I wish someone made new trim.

I used Velcro to hold the trim in place, time will tell if this was a good idea.

Will have to touch up the paint a little, but I think it looks pretty good.

So, I did this install with no help, which I do not suggest. Two people would make it a lot easier. Very good fit and well made. Glad I went with it. Hope this helps someone trying to decide if this is a project they might want to take on.

The kit came with this extra material. I think it is to recover the sun visors, but not 100 percent sure.

I don't know if it's just me, but I can only see the last few photos. It looks great though!

I need to do the same in mine, but need to figure out how to get one shipped to the UK first.
