what did u do to your jeep this weekend

So, now I have rebuilt the carb, cleaned up the engine some, replaced a belt, and am still needing to fix the exhaust leak. I started the paint this weekend by sanding and shooting the tan for the roof. (it was too hot outside to do much more than that)

She runs great, even did a death run test in stop and go traffic on I-5 through downtown Seattle in 90+ weather. She ran well, and took the heat without an issue.

Now the Kaiser is finally parked at my house so I can work on it whenever I like, instead of an hour away at my girlfriend's place.

Finished the front axle. New seals and bearings. Took it to a local Threshing show and got into the parade. Their was a long incline that worked out great. In 4WD low and first gear, I was abel to let it idle up hill. With all the other tractors thumpin and being the first vehicle behind the steam traction engines, you could'nt hear in running. A lot of thumbs up and suprised looks on peoples faces after the anouncers let them know it is a 1963. At the auto shows I hear "Nice Jeep". At the threshing shows I hear so many Jeep stories, it's a very fun time. This years best stories came from a guy that worked for Kaiser Jeep during the 1960's as a sales rep for the upper midwest states.

Finished my razor grill swap.

Bought tilt column from ebay. Column from a super or super custom wagon. Picked up winch and ramsey bumper. Got a chrome transfer case shift knob. Got a a/c unit that has the chrome package vents. Got my indicator lights red and green 2 light set up.

I mounted the 2000 TJ fuel tank in under the bed of my J10, worked out well. All need to do is plumb the lines and run the electric for the pump.

I got the G30 trailer hitch modified, welded, painted, and installed. I got the first coat of paint on the fenders and rocker, they'll need to be wet sanded and shot again I've got orange peel. Got most of the front face cleaned up, drilled, and welded before paint. And I've got a back ache.

painted the roof and began my center console. coming out pretty good so far.

Helped finish up the re-gearing. 3.54 now, from 2.87.
New bearings, seals, slik-um in the rear axle.
Repack all bearings in the front as well as new slik-um up front too.
Really pulls now!
Speedo is lots more accurate.
Now to see what my gas footage will be.

Ran to Home Depot and hauled home a new riding lawnmower

Cut rotted floor out of the driver's side of '79. Was grinding old floor bondo to get to rust, but ran out of discs.

Cleaned up '67 timing chain parts, set the new set on the crank and cam, and ran out of time.

Removed the cracked pig nose grill on my 1979 Wag, and installed a new to me $25.00 Razor grill I picked up at a estate sale this weeked.

Pulled the Radiator so I could take it to the shop to have it flushed and the tanks resoldered. Also began the install of a Rhino grill. Also cleaned up and primed some rust spots.

Oh...I almost forgot. I also installed a new to my Son steering wheel. He is happy now...except for the fact that he can't drive his truck til I get his radiator back from the shop.

Ran it for a while to keep the battery up, minor tune up this coming weekend.

Looking to do a steering box/pump swap in October.

Boxed the frame from the shock mounts back and added new plates for all the body mount points.

Looks like we get to fork over some $$ for a new radiator. I was hoping it was just a solder joint on the top tank. Turns out we had some bad tubes as well.
