Question front grill insulating rubbers / weatherstrip

Am refitting my '82 pig nose grill; Would like to add the insulating rubbers between grill and body to prevent scratching of the paint.
Does anyone knows where the rubber strips were mounted / glued onto the grill?

thnx.

The ones on my Wagon had a slot in them that fit over the edge of the grille,
did not notice any glue.

Mine had just the two vertical pieces about 12-14 inches long.

I just did this today, I had one strip, went to auto zone and bought some black door edging. It was more rounded but as soft as the old rubber. It has an adhesive in the grove which might help.

Ooooooh! Good idea. Never thought of using door edging. And one set will probably fit 2 or 3 FSJ's! LOL!

guys, guys. That's not OEM! You have to use the TGW strip a $ 64,95/pce.
