Baby steps, jeep is taking a back seat for a little. Getting my school bus ready for the year, we go back on Thursday. Anyway I ordered a set of floor pans and should be getting them next week. Was able to clean up all my hard brake lines and proportion valve and get the front lines back on. If I have time, I will do the back tomorrow.

Cleaned up nice. I have a parts Wagon that is pretty much together so I'am using that and pictures I took to help get this thing back together.

Don't need the whole pan so I cut it down a bit and screwed it to the floor and marked the floor for cutting.

Was able to get some of the old floor pan out. I used the spot weld cutter from Harbor freight and it worked good, but it was hard to find them all. Also found some more rust where the floor pan transitions into the fire wall, so I will have to figure out that repair. I'am cutting the floor shy of the mark and slowly fitting the new pan.

All of the cage nuts that hold the body to the frame are either striped out or the cage broke loose, so I cut new ones and tapped.

Was able to put one of the new cage nuts back into the broke cage. Two of my childhood friends came over this evening to help me weld. The welding shield quit working so we couldn't finish, but we did make some progress.

I drilled the new floor pans to spot weld to the floor bracing. Most of the large gaps I had my friend Gary weld up and the tight stuff I gave it a try and did okay but it was not pretty. Happy with the way it is turning out.

Did a lot of grinding and had to re weld a few spots. Not perfect or pretty, but the rust is gone for now.

Cut the drivers side floor and part of the lower firewall out. lots of rust where the lower firewall and floor overlap.
