I have found that the heater hose from the pump to the core has been rubbing on top alt mounting bolt and has started to rub through(weeping coolent). It looks like someone replaced it with a piece of generic hose at one time. As there is very little clearence between the pump and the alt does anyone know if there was some sort of preformed hose used originally? Dont want this to reoccur. Thanks for any help.

Replace the hose with a new piece. Cut a piece of the old hose about 6 inches long, then split it longways and place it over the section where the hose rubs the mounting bolt. This will re-enforce the hose.
