Parting out 77 J10 Dana 44 Rear axle, or whole

Bought this thinking it was from a 77 Cherokee. It's not, so I took the carrier and pinion out to fix my axle. Otherwise, the rest of it is in very good shape. All the hardware is there.

Want parts from it? Cheap! Tell me what you want. I'll send you pictures. Brakes are complete, Axle shafts look pretty good. Drums look good,

Want the whole thing? Sounds good! but I am not sure how to ship it. If you know a way, I am game. You can have the whole thing for $75. Or less. Make me an offer. I can't store it.

I'm not in the buying market
But why are you not keeping the brake parts and shocks?
If the drums and related parts are usable for your Cherokee they could be of use later on when something breaks or is worn out!

A fair question. The shocks were toast so I tossed them. I am out of storage space AND I am moving in about 54 weeks (but who's counting?) AND don't want to lug spare parts with me. I would love to see someone else get some use out of these, though.

Hmmm...may I ask what size the brake drums are, Marc? Pretty please? It might not be a bad idea to put them away for a rainy day if they would fit my D44 rear. Maybe.

I'll measure tonight and text you some pics. I thought about putting the drums on my Cherk because they are finned and mine are not but then figured my brakes work and I don't want to mess with them.

Dude don't throw away good useable jeep parts!

I only could wish that they were 12 inch brake parts and for 5 lug axles

Are you looking for 12 inch brake drums that are used on the early j-series trucks?

I did found some new drums from the early international trucks
They are 12 inch but there is some drill and turning work involved to make them fit the 5 lug jeep hubs.

Haha, no, sorry for causing any confusion in Marc's thread, Heep.

I was looking for 5-lug, but for my Wagoneer's rear D44. Marc had been kind enough to send me measurements/pictures of his, but they were six lugs.

Dana 44 just found a new home with a guy who is building a CJ7. I don't think he will use it as is, but maybe he will get some parts out of it. At least I am not the one scrapping it. He had a "Dana 60 from an early Wagoneer" in his truck. I told him I was pretty confident Wagoneer's never came with a Dana 60 and pointed out the housing was about the same as the J10 I gave him but he didn't really want to hear it.
