I have found a supplier, but I wanted to here if anyone has a good idea of what the price should be.

cam, rods, lifters, pistons, rings, freeze plugs, timing gears and chain are all included. No manifolds, valve covers or oil pan

I think the census among members is to bring a good block to a reputable local machine shop.

Many here seem to have had endless problems with reman's from places like Autozone, etc, where they find old pistons, sleeved cylinders and the like!!

Depending on location, it seems the going rate is around $950 to $1200, core not included.

Advanced auto has them starting at $699.99 and up. I've never heard much about wether they were any good or not.
