off road carburators?

currently running an edelbrock 1826 offroad carb and it works ok. id like do get something with vacuum secondarys but that still works well offroad. i feel like the holley TA 670 is to much carb for the motor but i also feel like the 470 is to little. anyone have thoughts on this?

How about one of the speciality built q-jets?

https://www.smicarburetor.com/

I know it only list 750s on the site but if you call I know they will do one per the application with the apporiate cfm rating.

In my experience, none of the carburetors really are dependable for a more "hardcore" trail rig. Meaning one that you may put on it's side.

For the price of a new carburetor, have you thought about putting together a TBI setup? With a baffled fuel pump, you'll never have starvation issues.

I'll never run a carbed vehicle again. Blech.

Edit: sprry if I didn't answer your question, but I would run a Q-Jet for wheeling.

it is,but not too the point of being problematic. the 470 will be crisper.

bear in mind holley wet flow's their carbs, edelbrock does not.

Really tiny primaries. The secondaries are big enough to put a childs arm through. Excellent carbs until the average joe gets his ham fists on them trying to adjust or rebuild them.
