1963 Wagoneer with Interesting Story

I've just spotted a 1963 Wagoneer for sale on a site over here in the UK, although the Jeep itself is in Portugal.

Reading through the description, it sounds like it's had a pretty interesting history!

Judging by the VIN is appears to be the real deal and built in 1963.

Something I think is interesting is the quad headlights that seem to even be in one of the old pictures.

Highest bid at 9900 Euros, but reserve price not reached therefore not sold. It is in need of TOTAL restoration. May be it will be sold after the auction.

What's a Euro worth in US dollars these days?

Seems to have a more modern axle than the funky one the early Wags came with?

Wiley, winter's coming. Maybe slap some chains on it and drive it home.

Once the Arctic freezes over no floating required.

that thing is super cool! All it needs it a turbo and nitrous. WOW! I think the quad headlights are amazing looking, too.

The euros is about 13% higher... it was 20% higher a few months ago... so you are saving some $$$$.

This paint job is hiding a lot of issues: the vin plate was even painted over, otherwise the rain channel on the driver's side A pillar is missing, as in "removed" or cut-off... a big weakness of these riggs, my 74 A pillar are about gone, the 85 A pillar is getting rusty from the inside as well!

You can see a lot of the paint job covering missing chunks of paint cracks all over... the rusty rear view mirror is an indicator of a wet environment...

I would not bid on anything that I have not heard running in person.

But it is a great find because of the pictures, thank you.
