2 Quarts near disaster

In my haste and rushed oversight. I only checked the oil once or maybe twice lately. It looked great and I could see it on the dipstick of the old buick motor.

Today after getting off the highway I noticed lifter clatter and shut her down instantly.

I check the oil and it was way down on the dipstick.

I let her settle and drover her home at a very low speed.

I bought rotella T 15w40/ lucas top end lubricant for gas, a fram ph11 and marvel oil.

I knew she was low I added the marvel to crankcase and put some lucas in the fuel.

I let her idle for about 30 minutes prepped the work area.

She drained out about 2 quarts of oil and one or less in the filter.

Near disaster

I did oil change and topped her off with Rotella and she purrs like a kitten again,

Oil pressure at idle with mechanical gauge and hot engine is about 27lbs
Driving she tops off around 55-60lbs
