    When the title says so. Chero has always been a more utilitarian version of the wag. In the last years of the cherokee some were pretty plush though and not really much difference. So far as I know OZ never built Wags, only Cheros.

      Nice! I'd think that, that's a Wagoneer you got there. The Jeep Cherokee XJ came out in '84 and they quit producing full size Cherokee's. So technically '83 would be the last year for the full size.

        Look above your license plate on your tailgate. If a Cherokee it would have Cherokee not wagoneer

          VIN would tell you what you have.

          xxxxx15 = wagoneer
          xxxxx18 = cherokee

            Jeep Australia produced an high-end cherokee called "cherokee limited" which was not different from a grand wagoneer, except the RHD, the paint scheme and some minor trim elements
            I don't see the emblems but yours looks like a limited

            BTW if you have your serial number, it gives a clue on the number of cherokees produced in Australia

                Very cool. So with this being a RHD vehicle, did the oil filter have to be remote mounted to clear the steering box?

                  The chrome over the license says Wagoneer, but it could have been a leftover part from Jeep or a replacement at some point. The tail lights are 80-83 European Cherokee (with the 1/2 amber) The Wagoneer had wrap around tail lights till '83 then became the Grand Wagoneer with the tail light change to match Cherokees.
