I am replacing the pickup coil as the wires on the inside of distributor are cracked and missing some of the insulation too WOW!!! How was it even running 3 months ago???
I eased off the Trigger Wheel/Reluctor and kept checking/feeling for the pin as I eased it up and to my amazement it was not there or some how I missed it. As best as I can tell it is a small roll pin which I happen to have a kit of assorted sizes of roll pins, there should be one in the kit to fit I hope.
I will most likely connect the Pickup Coil wires with but connectors temporally as I am looking at buying a weather pack kit with many terminal connectors from 1 to 6 pin connectors but for now I want it to be drivable asap.
Next after it is drivable I will make my own gaskets for roof rack out of EPDM rubber material 1/8in thick as I have a leak in roof. I know I can buy the kit to replace roof rack and luggage slat rail gaskets at
but i am going to see how long it lasts using the EPDM rubber. I update how it works out when I get to it. In the mean time after the pickup coil is done and jeep has been test driven I will update.
Thanks to all who responded.
