70's GM also used 205's, passenger side drop. Blazer's, 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks with T350 and sticks. The one tons had the T400's. Were married units. If you found one with the 400, swap out the guts to the AMC 400 housing.
Never mind on the 400.... I see you're staying with a stick.
There used to be an adapter out to add a low range unit from a 203 full time case to the 205 as a doubler to end up with a 4:1 low range, and still keep the 2:1 of the 205. The 20 and 205 are basically the same low range, just the 205 is more bullet proof. Another option might be a 300 from a CJ. 2.62:1 low, gear drive.
