Something else you might do is take the lower drain plug out and stick a telescoping magnet in the hole. There is a magnet inside the case at this drain area and if alot of debris is in there from the bearings and retainers, you will be able to pull some out with the telescoping magnet. I did this once and a big piece of bearing retainer came out indicating a rebuild was definitely in order.
