They are giving you a good clean ground terminal...

They are giving you a good clean ground terminal for whatever circuit you are adding and a path for the wiring, since you are already running the hot wire there. Just like in your house wiring.

This 3.5" ID (90mm) round hose fits perfect, cut to fit...
