I bought a set of LEDs and it had one that fit the middle light but it was not nearly as good as the incandescent. I also don't like the cold white color the LEDs give off.

You shouldn't need a whole new dizzy. The pickup is cheap and easy to replace. I think I bought an MSD one, and it was like $40... took maybe 15 minutes to install?
