Your problem: the gauge reads empty when the sender is conneced in the Jeep. That means the sender wires are open somewhere. The empty reading is the highest resistance, 73 ohms...

An aftermarket replacement reman distributor is an option, if you get stuck. It would come with a new sensor coil and new or rebuilt vacuum diaphragm. Not cheap but it would drop in and run.

A T-150 and T-176 use the same style bell. The T-150 was used in CJ-5s and -7s 1976-79 and is a Ford passenger car 3-speed built on license by Tremec for Jeep....
