easy fix, to check diagnose, heat w/ heat gun hit with mallet, if it starts or tries to fire and sounds different from before ECU bad.

Don't forget to prime the oil pump w/ p-jelly. Without this the pump will NOT prime no matter how much spinning you do.

When I told them it was an 87 I got a $60.00 unit w/ the weatherpack connectors. Then We changed it to an 86 and it was the right one(looks right) for $16.00.

I just did a Rusty's lift as well. The pin needed to be pulled out on my 87. Opening the front system did not alter the pin, but after I opened the rear to replace the brake hose I had to reset it....

I would guess alternator. Definitely a good plaace to start. Barring that a bad ground could give you similar symptoms, although a little more radically.

I pushed air through from the check valve to the rear and agian to the front. The rest I just pushed through with the clean fluid. I had my wife pump the master cylinder until it all came out clean....
