You used to be able to go into the parts store and get a matching set of belts so they were equal in size and length. May not be able to other than napa maybe?

You should be able to do it with little problems since you have the complete donor vehicle. will have to modify the drive shafts and shifters but that's about it.

no, just clean the area with brake cleaner and lube the inside seal edge where it rides on the crank with a little oil, but not on the ends where the rtv will be.

Depends on the bolt location, most likely 15mm but have seen 13mm and 17mm also. Also 5.3L is a ls motor, I think he is thinking 5.0 or 5.7 vortec motor which was earlier.

those are the backing plates for the shoe hold down spring, they need to go on, you should be able to do 1 at a time without taking it all apart.

You can try and use some emery cloth to clean up the surface first and see if it becomes clean and smooth, then just install the correct seal for it. If it does not then you will need a small die...

If your having issues with the freeze plugs rotting out, chances are the head gaskets are next. pull the motor, replace the freeze plugs and head gaskets at the same time.

You had air trapped in the block and it pushed out the coolant, it happens, especially when you fill to fast. You can leave the thermostat housing off and fill the block full then install and fill...

Wet with fuel on almost all, looks like weak ignition, otherwise all would be wet if it was over fueling. That is where I would start, then move to fueling.
