I took my switches (4WD too) apart, lapped them...
I took my switches (4WD too) apart, lapped them on a plate of glass for a uniform surface, re-assembled with a little grease. Not worried about a leak from there anymore.

Hey all!
One of the bolts for steel strips on my tailgate interior has stripped self-tapped threads in the tailgate sheetmetal.
Any tips on fixing it without going a screw size up?

Have you looked at the fast idle cam or choke mechanism? Don't know what kind of carb you're running, but if it has an electric choke, can you verify the choke is getting power?
