dana 60 vs.dana 61

I installed a dana 61 rear diff last year.Anyone know if I can swap in a dana 60 carrier with 4.10 gears.It presenty has dana 61 3.55's in it now.Do I need to buy dana 61 gears and a carrier or can I use the dana 61 carrier for 4.10 gears out of a dana 60? I used to know where there was a chart for carrier breaks anyone know where that might be?

Dana 60 could only gear up as high as 3.54 I think it is. Dana 61 was to take it above that. I do not think you can gear down a Dana 61 by using a Dana 60 carrier. You may need to see if there is a THICK GEAR set available for a Dana 61, or a Ring Gear Spacer to use with a Dana 60 R&P set.
