Hi- I just took a job in Seattle and I was wondering if there is a good "old school" Jeep mechanic that can keep my Grand Wagoneer running strong. Thanks for your help!!!
There are a couple companies that we deal with on a regular basis out here. One of them is Parkland Transmission - They do all sorts of work (not just transmissions) they are in Parkland, WA and their number is 253.531.2622 - Talk to Brooks, he even owns a 89 GW.
Maybe that isn't close enough for you, the other is further away from you.
Hope this helps. THanks!

The best Mechanic you can find anywhere is yourself! Buy tools if you don't have them, get a service manual for your vehicle, and start doing the work yourself. Shop prices are way too high, and much of the work one gets done to today at dealerships especially is marginal. Many times there is more wrong with your vehicle when you get it back then when you took it to the garage. I don't know what year your GW is but with a Service manual and some tenacious hard work you can in time be your best mechanic. There is genuine satisfaction out of being the mecanic for your own vehicle. In time you will gain more confidence after every job you do, not to mention the money you will save. Good Luck.
welcome to the board and seattle, you will either love seattle or hate it. hopefully the job is worth it!!!
I would suggest learning your rig rather than paying someone else to work on it. I have spent 5yrs learning the ins and outs of my rig. with that being said feel free to email me with any questions you have.
