  • Vacuum Routing Write-up

The question of vac routing came up on CFSJA. Since work is slow, and I'm between semesters, I figured I'd do a writeup with what I hope are really helpful color-coded pics that hopefully makes sense of the spaghetti.

    FSJ Vacuum Routing Article

I color coded the standard vac diagram (based on an 85) --- but also wrote a brief explanation & created individual diagrams that highlight a particular subsystem (such as Spark Advance, NLVR, EGR, AIR, PCV, etc) and grey out the rest to make it easier to focus in on each system.

Let me know what you think...

Wow, that is impressive Michael. I am glad the only vacuum connections on our FSJs run the advance for the dizzy, heater controls and the Edrive on the QT rigs.

Me thinks your work should stay slow and in between semesters! I really like it and will print it out and add it to my "trouble shooting book". By the way, the carbs I got from you worked with new power values installed

Thanks for the write-up. This will be very helpful! If I correctly follow your suggestions for this circuit, This is what I should end up with, right?
