I have a 1974 J20 and I want to get rid of the glovebox vacuum valve for the transfer case. Any suggestions?

QT transfer cases can be converted to cable shift vs vacuum.
If you search you'll see several folks have done it.
Basically you gut the vacuum shift motor and use the shaft to attach a cable for shifting.
