Can someone tell me how the vanity light wires get through the headliner? About to install the new one.

Just a hole in the liner under the light. Wires run up inside the drivers door post and along (behind?) the roof brace. That's on a 73, though.

Thanks but I'm referring to the light on the passenger visor. I dug out my sun visor and the wire has a kink in it. Looks like the connector stays inside the headliner and you tuck it in as you mount the visor, the kink happens at the edge of the cup/trim/whatever.

After doing some more searching I'm thinking the wire goes through the cup under the visor mounting flange rather than under the outer flange. The cup has a slot from the center hole to the edge of the bottom of the cup.

I believe (from memory) that what you've described is correct.

Be careful not to pinch the wire - I did that once and it took me ages to figure out why the dome fuse kept blowing!
