I had a harbor freight hole saw kit designed for wood in my cabinet, it has 6 or 7 different sizes in there, figured I'd wreck one making this hole, well it breezed through it in no time and came out just fine!

marked holes for the gasket, predrilled them small, then used some self-tapping screws to secure it all in place, oh, and a bunch of fuel resistant RTV, that's what the blue stuff is...

Where did you get that diagram? Is there one for the new Wags? I need it for my 91.

    Thanks

It's from the service manual or "tsm", I believe I got it off www.oljeep.com, he has a bunch of nice resources there including the tsm for my 76 which I downloaded...

3-1/2" if I remember correctly. Tank came with O-ring and locking ring. I used a square flat metal electrical box cover for the cap, it was a buck and just drilled what holes I needed and turned the square into a circle with the angle grinder
