  • Front D44 Yoke Removal

Is there a trick to getting the yoke off the front D44? I finally got the nut off (thanks PB Blaster!) but that sucker won't budge. Do I just need to pull harder?

If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

Ok thanks Serehill-I have good puller just didn't want to go for it, which is unusual for me, but also why I have a whole shelf on my metal rack for broken Jeep parts!

If it has been blasted properly the sticker would not adhere to the surface.
FYI ou know you can get PB at he dollar general store for half what the auto stores sell it for?

tap with a machinest's hammer as you pull. The torque rating on the nut is 180-300lbs, so that yoke was pushed on there there pretty good..

This is common sense, so disregard if you already knew this; but be sure to leave the nut loosely threaded on...otherwise they have a tendency to fly off and land on your digits (have a buddy that currently has a black thumbnail from a rogue yoke)
