  • Must replace Yoke on NP208 transfer case

My yoke is slightly damaged on the rear of my NP208 transfer case. It's clearly serviceable and will hold a u-joint, but a piece sheared off, so I'm replacing it. Can someone do this without air tools?

I changed mine in the parking lot at Driveline Specialists in Sarasota once. Not a big deal if you don't mind spilling fluid.

Ok, so a little horsepower and I'm good. I was planning on draining fluid before I started, and this is a good time to change fluid in the transfer case anyway. Will a small amount still drain after the yoke is removed?

        One more question

I checked my Haynes manual and no torque specs are listed for the yoke retaining nut. Does anyone know how much torque is specified somewhere for the NP208 transfer case yoke?
