Oh man, the nicest tool on the ranch.

Looks like it should have a spool of barbed wire, some T fence posts, a bucket of wire staples, some random horse tack, a spare for the horse trailer, etc......all the stuff it was made to haul back in the day as the perfect ranch truck

It's obvious you don't need this truck, and have suffered some sort of mental lapse when you acquired it. Being a mental health professional, I feel it's my duty and responsibility to assist you, and will take this truck off of your hands and ease your burden. I will be there in the morning with my trailer.

You'll feel much better as you watch me drive away. Trust me!

Nice - somebody's incomplete project, looks like.

I recall several wheel choices; 15 or 16 and maybe 16.5 wheels on the option list. Usual Jeep 5 on 5.5" pattern. The parts book on the Tom Collins site will show what was available. Jeep put a lot of stuff on the option list in these days. White spokes are not original in 1972, regardless of size.

5-lug Dana 60 is the 60-2, which Jeep used on the 6K and 7K GVWR trucks. It goes W-X-Y-Z for 5, 6, 7, and 8K lb GVWR (44, 60-2, 60-2, 60-3). It's a "semi-full-floating" axle, with a single wheel bearing, like the 44. Good axle, better than the 53 which it replaces. Main problem is the 12"x2" drum brakes, with poor parts support. The drums are unobtainium today - all gone for decades, new and used. Maybe the PO already took care of this as part of the project... looks like it might have disk brakes now.

Hope this is not bad news for the PO ... life happens.
