  • Camper Special Auxiliary Tank Gasket, can I buy one?

So I pulled both of my tanks and I am wondering if this is a gasket I can buy. It is the gasket that goes around the fill pipe on the auxiliary tank of a camper special. It looks like this:

If any other info is needed, let me know and I will post up what I can...

Check with Zack at ZM Jeeps, he might have a NOS one floating around, of BJ's.

      Roger That...

I appreciate the lead. I'll check with Zack.

I believe a guy I met at the Jeep show in York knew of a place I could get a gasket, but that was a couple years ago.

      Thanks again!

Looks similar to the gasket Ford uses on a lot of their vehicles.

Here's one here. Don't know if it will work, but it might.

That definitely reaches higher up on the neck, but I could probably live with that. I'll see if I can find dimensions for it...

The chances are very good that the guy you met at the York Jeep Show and was chatting about FSJ parts was Zack.

I picked up some grade A goodies from Zack last year, but it was Dave I was talking to two years ago. I shot them both PMs and I'll hope for the best. Thanks for the help!

I could reuse the gasket, but would prefer to replace it. I'd hate to replace all things fuel and leave that...

It's probably the same as the CJ's. A retired Jeep dealer told me they used them on behind the seat gas tank conversions. I can see Jeep using them for bed mounted tanks. The NOS one I bought from him (CJ part) looks very similar to yours.

Or, in order to save yourself from having to buy those expensive gaskets, you could just sell me your tanks for my camper truck...

                    Definitely worth a shot. Thanks!

Hmmm... You're right. That would be cheaper
