Thanks for the kind words, it helps keep me motivated to do more work to the Jeep
The pics of the panels are after about two medium/heavy coats. I put a second coat of paint on the tailgate last night.
The Cherry bomb i used is the 29 1/2" long model with 2 1/2" exhaust. The previous owner actually did something right by replacing the exhaust with 2 1/2".
I'm still trying to hunt down an excessive exhaust leak that i believe is from the connection between the manifold and the y pipe. I've welded a few holes and it's not as excessive but it's still annoying.
I'n on the fence on getting a lift, i want 4" lift but i got brand new Bf A/T's in stock size, I don't wanna replace them since they are 7 months old with 2500 miles. But i need new springs, bushings, shocks, and steering linkage since I feel the steering is a bit too sloppy for my liking.
Next on my list is a stronger roof rack and roof basket, as well as tow points front and back.
My reason for doing all this is that I've settled that my wag is too far from being able to be clean enough for me without a lot of money so i'm going to beef it up and have some fun with it instead yet try to make it look good.1990 Stock for nowGrand Wagoneer

Hammered Paint Write Up (long)
So far I love the color and the finish of the paint and with the wood panels I won't need to purchase so many spray cans. I will restate that i went this route for paint for a factory resemblance yet a more rugged looking truck for the woods that can easily get a quick touch-up. I went with the Spray since this color is not offered in quarts. I emailed Rustoleum and they stated they will look into it but I didn't want to wait. If I had to do it again I would of looked into a quart of the Deep green and went that route. The only issue besides a sore index fingered and a now well toned Forearm is finish consistency. With the hammered paint it needs a thick wet coat to give the most of the textured finish. But I don't wanna create anymore runs and drips in the paint that a certain Autobody shop already did. That is why i would go with quarts since I think a roller would be more consistent than a spray can. Available color for this finish in quarts that are similar to factory color is the Deep Green but the label online is probably not correct to true color. So far the paint looks good and is holding up well to the weather. No tests as far as durability has been conducted but have read that to get the finish Mica is added to the paint which is said to increase durability. Hopefully this information is helpful and useful.
Ask any Questions you have as far as the actual paint. But I am only 22 so I don't know as much as I hope to eventually learn.1990 Stock for nowGrand Wagoneer

Expensive Day
yesterday I finally went out and grabbed rear speakers for the jeep. Also got a new water pump since mine leaks when cold/not running, but won't leak when cold/running or at temp.... wierdAlso bolted my roof rack down with support brackets so that it can actually hold weight. Then splurged and bought a roof basket to carry my spare tire and a small toolbox of roadside tools.
Now to prep the roof for paint and to give the hood a second coat of paint1990 Stock for nowGrand Wagoneer

Love/Hate
Well changed my water pump today. Why the heck did they bolt so many things to the water pump?!?!?!added a lot of grief as well as two snapped bolts and a cracked power steering return hose.
But all in all it's done with help from my Dad and Brother and I idle with no temp problems. Hopefully tomorrow when I go outside to drive to work there is no puddle under the Wag.
Also painted the hood with a second coat of paint, just gotta buff it and hopefully it passes my inspection standards Then off to painting the roof, I'll try to post some pics soon1990 Stock for nowGrand Wagoneer

It's All Blue
It's official, the Jeep is all Blue, Now to just touch up some things and do some small details.
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
Now just gotta buff the roof and it'll look complete
[IMG][/IMG]
On another note, bought a roof basket, Remounted the factory roof rack and overhauled it to hopefully hold more weight, made a spare tire mount for the basket, drove to my aunts house and heard a rattle, got home and the actual rack was starting to fall apart
[IMG][/IMG]
Made small brackets to mount inside the roof, with these I could shake the whole truck without the roof flexing at all.
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
Now taking my brand new roof basket and cutting it in half and making it wider so that I can fab some mounts and make the basket a full replacement for the roof rack.
[IMG][/IMG]
Also bought an extension for the rack to make it the proper length in my eyes
Next in line after the roof rack is finished is a suspension overhaul. Thinking 4" lift springs, 1" block in the rear and 1" shackle in the front to run 5" of lift to fit 33x10.5 A/T tires, From reading I think they will rub while offroading but I don't plan on anything too crazy in the woods since it's my DD, mainly just some trail drives. Main reasoning for the lift is that the springs or beat and the shocks are close to gone, so i need new suspension anyway so why not get what I want now.1990 Stock for nowGrand Wagoneer
