There are two super rusty ones down here on Naval Station Point Mugu. I started a thread for questions on them but can't find it. They have a D60 rear which is kinda cool. They have a CJ5 wheel base.

Just as gutless as the LD28

Back in 03/04 my Dad put a LD28 under the hood of his 63' wagoneer.
It sounded awesome and driving around town was fun , but it was no beast for towing and going down the highway!

I found this about the tug version
"Power came from the same Nissan naturally aspirated SD-33 diesel as the civvy versions, and it cranked out a whopping 81 net horsepower and 138 lb-ft. A Torqueflite 727 automatic and NP198 transfer case backed up the Nissan. The NP198 was a fixed-yoke, rear-output NP208 permanently locked into low-range. It had the front output but no shift mechanism, inside or out. Up front, a

I kind of like it...but then again I also like Gremlins and Pacers and other weird ugly Vehicles. I guess I just like the unusual.
I was in Anchorage when the Alaskan post office was selling off all their CJ-8s for $2,300 and I really wanted one and nearly bought one but like this one it wasn't to be.

Nah, I'm sure the tugs are NP208 locked in low with rear wheel drive only. The Dana 20 was long gone by then.

There were quite a few sold in Australia, as I recall. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Australian+CJ-10 - I wonder what the appeal is. A crude and dinky cab on a short J10 chassis.

Have seen one once and know one that was for sale earlier this year that is a project.
It looks like a cj8 with a separated tub.

I like the model , but not the square headlights!

    Ever see a CJ10?

I know it's short notice but I was going through a big "Nebraska truck hoarder" auction that's tomorrow (10/27/22) and noticed what I believe is a CJ10

This one like most US models was a military tug.
I think it would be cool to buy one and turn it into a pickup like the ones sent downunder and though ya'll might like to discuss it

If interested in seeing the auction it's here
