  • More TBI log help

Hi, I'm still trying to figure out my rough running/stalling TBI. I rewired the computer and some burnt wires under the hood. It looks like my voltage is stable again. Could anyone take a look at the logs and give me some pointers?

From what I see, the TPS isn't adjusted correctly.
It's dropping to .2v which is too low.
If you didn't perform the initial setup, you need to do this.

And common sense dictates verify no vacuum leaks, and fuel pressure is good.

Lots of knock counts, are you using a knock sensor?

I bought the Jeep with the setup but the distributor was changed by the mechanic, so I will try resetting everything from scratch. I'm not sure what the knock sensor is picking up because it doesn't sound like that.

Hmm, the TPS is showing .53 at idle now.

Hmm, well actually this does not look good.
          Compression:
          8 7-120
          6 - 120 5-89
          4 - 120 3-100
          2 - 120 1-100

Maybe I'm getting all I'm going to get.

            yeah not good...
do a leakdown test and see what exactly is going on.
or just pull head since all low ones are on same side?

What would cause low compression all on one side, cam shaft issue?

best case scenario bad head gasket
                worse case burned exhaust valves
worst case would be broken ring lands/pistons

If it was cam you probably be hearing noise.

Your mechanic locked up the replacement distributor, right?
