Purchased on BAT Feb 2022. Runs great for 194000 miles on a partially rebuilt 360. So probably 8mpg and 110hp.

From having it delivered until now, here is what has been done:

Came with non working overhead console. Went through a few computers and then rewired from drivers footwell to roof. Bought one computer that had wires and plug so I was able to de-pin and make it work. The lights/plastic/metal were all there, just needed to clean contacts, do wiring, pop in new bulbs, and replace burned up computer.

6/11/22: Took down tank, repaired frame rail. Not much to weld to and I'm a lousy welder. Will clean it up tomorrow. Took off NP228. Took off exhaust. Painted BJ's steel tank. Drained coolant. Tomorrow I need to disconnect everything from engine/transmission and pull it out. Then a lot of cleaning.

Busy weekend. Got 6 hours in on Saturday and Sunday. Unhooked everything, cut off exhaust, pulled the motor. Still cannot figure out why the Viper alarm door remote quit working when I installed the BJs door relay kit. Need to prep the new tank and install pump and sending unit. Run new fuel line to front with regulator and filter. Electrical should not be hard. Besides ignition wire from cab (hoping the Viper does not mess things up), only oil pressure/ water temp / voltmeter gauges. The rest comes from the GM harness. Lots of wires going to nothing at this point. Ignition/coil/choke all gone.

Just bought twin stick from Rock Laurence. Vacuum thing still works, but I do not want to deal with creating the right amount to keep it working from new motor. Less stuff is better.

Got to get driveshafts done, exhaust made.

Might redo my build thread on hosted server and just add a link.

There are no quality build threads with step by step. Would love to do that. Basically take harness back to the firewall connector and have a list of what goes where. Looks easy enough but all these old jeeps have been cut to pieces. I had a lot of duct tape holding wires crimped together when I got started.

Mostly done. Awaiting for BJs rebuilt NP229.
Replacement 228 that came with it would not shift easily after rebuild and rather than troubleshoot, I shipped my Novak input shaft to them to be included with the correct TC for the vehicle. Will use twin stick shifters.

This can be routed into the passenger compartment with the accelerator pedal connector and diagnostic link connector. Next, connect battery power (minimum 8 gauge wire) to one of the studs on the fuse relay center (3 studs are available, only 1 is required to be connected), and the harness installation is complete.
