  • Wow. A blast from the past. Lol! Thanks Heavy!

I haven't come out here in a while simply because nothing much has happened in a while. Well, cept the whole 'Rona thing. I haven't done much but I have started in on the under dash AC unit. Removed it, started trouble shooting as to why all 3 speeds don't work and found the switch is the wrong one. I ordered one but it'll be next week before I see it. Meanwhile, gotta separate the halves and see what condition the evaporator is in. Don't remember.... Anyhow, I'll update this thread as soon as I have something good to say. Lol!

    • That dash looks amazing! I love the gauges also. What are they?

      • Thanks! Gauges are Speedhut. Cool stuff. Can't wait to see them in action.

        • Back at it! Got a wild hair to start working on the AC unit since it'll be going back in the Jeep along with the new dash, so ordered the Evaporator and Expansion Valve. I'd much rather use the OEM stuff but being it's 46 years old, I figured I'd just get new stuff. Of course along with swapping that stuff out comes the broken plastic housing. Lol. Had to do a little plastic welding on the flange the blower mounts to.

The fan switch was the wrong one too so ordered the correct one off Ebay. Forgot to take a pic but it's an Indak SW2000. It's an Off/Low/Med/High rotory switch. Should work just fine. 12V in from fuse block, 12V out to compressor clutch and one terminal for the blower motor. Easy peasy. I should have it buttoned up tomorrow....hopefully.

            • Well she obviously has an eye for good stuff. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Kaiserjeeps.

Didn't get time to finish up the AC unit last week. Story of my life lately. But with our Governor King Newsom letting us peons out for a little fresh air Friday, maybe things will move along a little quicker. Or not. I need to visit my local AC guy to ask him some questions. Maybe he'll be open this week.

                • Brad that dash is awesome, I like it so much I may have to make a "tribute dash" to honor it. Glad to hear they are letting y'all out to see the sunshine from time to time.

I went in last Wednesday and got some new hardware installed in my neck, so I'll have plenty of time to sit in front of the computer for a while and catch up on every ones builds

                              • So question for you, how has that fuel setup been working out for you? When I bought my truck it was lacking everything in the fuel department. No tank, pump, sender, anything. So I'm just trying to get an idea of the way to go. I've seen a lot of guys going with the Blazer tanks do you think that may be the way to go?
