Nice. Looks like a pretty slick welding cart. I like the drawers.

Did you know? Willys is just Willis spelled differently, but pronounced the same. Neither Willy nor his apostrophe are involved. -

I did not abandon this project. It basically rained most of last month ( I work on the wagoneer outside no covered work area). I also had a little run of bad luck and then sustained an injury at work. I have been recovering from the injury. I am doing much better now and the weather is favorable again to work outside. I will start to work again very soon and will have a update on it in the next few days.Life happens while you are making plans...............

I suffered a set back with my ankle injury and have been in a air cast since mind July. I am two weeks out from this last friday until I am released by the doctor and this project resumes. It has been a rough 3 to 4 months but I am still here hanging around and chomping at the bit to pick this back up.Last edited by Achilles; 10-04-2015, 08:59 AM.Life happens while you are making plans...............

I am 2 days out of the air cast and trying to get my feet back under me. I spent a little time out side doing light work on Achilles. It was nice to work on the jeep even though it was little task.
This is how Achilles has set since early June.
I finally put the License plates on him.
I left it a mess working on the rear window switch and wiring.
I buttoned everything back up and picked up all the trash.
I have one small hurdle to clear on Thursday and hopefully I will be back on duty and will have more time to work on the jeep. It is good to be back.Life happens while you are making plans...............

Glad you're back.
When you installed the tailgate wipes, was the glass installed?
Seems like it would be difficult to do with the glass in but also seems like it would be a tight fit getting the lift bar at the bottom of the glass between the wipes if you install them first.Sic friatur crustulum

If I remember correctly, I put the wipes in first. The glass slid in between the without issue.Life happens while you are making plans...............

Taking on a few small projects to get back in the swing of things. I have decided to put the original grille back on the Wagoneer for now. It had a couple of damaged spots that need to be repaired.
I used some JB-Weld Plastic Weld and water cured gorilla glue to attempt the repairs.
I cleaned up the grille brackets to get them ready for rust reformer and washed the grille down prepping for repairs.
Getting ready to paint the grille brackets.
Two coats of rust reformer on after using a red scuff pad and 0000 steel wool.
Here are a few close ups of the damaged spots on the pig nose.
Damaged spot top middle of the grille.
Attempt at fixing the first damaged spot with the water cured gorilla glue.
Using the JB-Weld Plastic Weld on the upper damaged area of the grille. I scuffed the area with sand paper.
Repair of the same area on the back side of the grille.
I set all the parts aside in my shop to let them fully dry for a few days. No carnage pictures today, but I do have a cool picture to share.
We have had so much rain that the leaves on the trees in my back yard are 4 times bigger than normal. This is not going to be fun when it is time to clean up after they hit the ground. More to come.........Last edited by Achilles; 10-31-2015, 07:46 AM.Life happens while you are making plans...............
