4-11-2015
Spent a little to much time indoors procrastinating this date. Decided to tackle fixing the broken vent tube issue and do a rear diff service on the AMC 20.
Supplies for today's work.
Vermont American 1/8 x 27 Tap w/ handle and Moller 1/8" NPT X 5/16"hose barb fitting. O'Reillys auto pars has this fitting as well as amazon.
Hose barb that would not stay connected and is being replaced.
Breather hole on drivers side of rear axle to be tapped. notice no threads, appears to me a press fit with old fitting.
A little grease on the Tap to catch the fine fillings.
Tapping the hole.
Sorry for the bad picture, but you can just make out the new threads in the breather hole.
New fitting screwed in place. Worked like a charm!!!!!
First Project Done!!!!!!!Last edited by Achilles; 04-12-2015, 08:34 PM.Life happens while you are making plans...............

Amc 20 Diff Service.
Filler hole on drivers side front of pumpkin.
Dirty Diff cover with grease filled bolts, be careful and clean them out or you will strip the torx head of the bolts.
Screws out and draining.
Everything appears to be ok inside the pumpkin.
New cork gasket and Lion Gasket sealant w/ freshly painted cover. It is all sealed back up.
Today's carnage.
Break Cleaner, Cork gasket, Gloves and Shop Towels.Last edited by Achilles; 04-12-2015, 08:34 PM.Life happens while you are making plans...............

4-13-2015 was stormy and rainy day. Since I work outside I was unable to do any thing on the Wagoner.
I put together a new vent / breather with the parts from the old one and new 5/16 fuel hose.
That took all of about 5 minuets so I worked on the under hood fuse panel relay box to control any exterior accessories (The Bleepin Jeep Design as seen on youtube).
It is totally rewired so that It has 6 mini fused and 1 Maxi fused relay circuits that I can control from 7 switches from inside the cab of the wagoner. I also have 7 Maxi Fuse circuits without relays for high current circuits.
All relayed and 1 Maxi Fuse circuits accessible through a screw terminal distribution box.
Black wire is a seven wire cable that goes to the cab to connect to the switch to control relays. Yellow wire ground.
Red wires maxi fuse circuits
No carnage TodayLife happens while you are making plans...............

4-14-2015
Was busy with non jeep related life things today. I Had a little time before I had to leave for work, so I put the breather / vent hose back on the rear axle.
Had it temporary capped off.
Breather valve once installed.
Attached to the axle. Connection is really solid.
Finished Product.
Today's Carnage. LOL

These past week has been a blur due to being sick. I worked when I felt ok which was not much.I will post what i have and try to catch this thread back up.
Weather was rainy this morning. So I did not do much. I worked on gluing the new visor cups up. they had a few cracks as compared to the old ones pulled from the jeep.
Old visor cups
New visor cups with small cracks glued up. Next step is to fiberglass to make them stronger and to pain interior color. (to be done at a later date)
Made new breather / vent hose for front dana 44
Weather cleared up this afternoon and this was sitting on my desk.
Old sensor location.
Old sensor removed
New Sensor installed
No carnage picture for the day, but I did snap this!!!!
Dinner!!!!Last edited by Achilles; 04-19-2015, 03:26 PM.Life happens while you are making plans...............

I received a dash pad I purchased from one of the forum members.
This was really packed well!!!!!
The dash pad is 200% better than the one that is currently in my wagoneer. I will dye it to the proper color when the time gets here.
