If you're getting rid of the sway-bar I might be interested in it..

Do you think it would fit a 81 Cherokee?

I am not sure if it will fit your application. I will look at it a little closer tomorrow to see if there are any markings on it. I am not 100% sure if I want to get rid of it yet, if I do you are first on the list for it.

I always thought Vitiminwater tasted a little like DOT 3 anyways.

Started Wag, Adjusted Rear Drums and Parking Break

I had a little spare time today, so I started her up to let her run and charge the battery up a little. I had a small issue with the break adjuster spring that was bothering me. I corrected it readjusted the rear drums, and put the plugs in the backing plate. I cleaned the Rear wheels up in preparation for having the new rubber mounted Monday. They were just as nasty as the front, and had evidence of the wheel cylinders leaking brake fluid on them.

          Front Before and after:

          Back Before and after:

There was no carnage for today.

Had a half day of vacation. I came home and had the rear tires mounted.

Mounted them up, just need to put the center cap back on them.

Removed the old broken starter and went back to town and grabbed a starter and solenoid.

The gear was really chewed up but the flywheel was ok.

Installed the starter and solenoid no problems encountered.

I had ordered supplies a while back to replace terminals and cables.

                        Also purchased this hydraulic crimper.

                        Strip Wire

Insert in proper lug for application and place in crimper. pump the handle to crimp.

                        Finished crimp

Finish off with heat shrink with heat activated glue.

I made all the positive and negative cables this way.

New Terminals. I really like these. plenty of room to add positive and negative accessories.

                          Wiring up solenoid.

                          Finished product.

                          Today's Carnage.

Now it starts on the first turn of the key.

Nice. Only critique is that you should have run the shrink tube over the end of the crimp. Looks like you just butted against the end of it. You want to actually seal the joint. I see that you did it with the positive cables. Is that just an optical illusion with the negative cable?

It is over the crimp and part way up the lug. It is just hard to tell because the heat shrink tubing is clear. They were out of black when I ordered. I should of gotten a better picture of it.
