  • DAy 2 Exhaust Install

    Parts waiting to be installed.

2 1/2 inch pipe connect to the Y pipe and then to the muffler.

Tail pipe slipped into place. Had a little disappointment here. None of the new exhaust hangers lined up like they should have. Ended up having to cut the old hangers off and clean them up and reused with new U bolts. Will run it like this until I find new hangers that will work.

    Two Day Carnage Total!!!!

        • Cleaned up the brake light housing and Lenses and installed fresh bulbs. Replaced these with brand new bulbs. I have never seen bulbs like this.

Moved on to the reverse lights. Cleaned them up and replaced the bulbs.
The gaskets crumbled when I removed the lenses.

I decided to make some temporary gaskets until I could find something better to use.

          The Supplies

Traced the lens and made adjustments.

          Duplicated it.

Reinstalled everything . They worked ok, but I need to find something better.

          • Dry graphite on the exhaust manifolds, eh? Curious how well it works for you. I've had good luck with it on other things.

            • Nine months and all we get is a test pic?

              Looking forward to more.

Trying to figure why my photobucket is still working. Unfortunately have been dealing with some health issues. Just now feeling well enough to get back around to it. Just got the jeep out of long term storage.

                • I understand. I haven't been working on mine either. Fortunately not due to health.

My subscription on PB ends this month. I'm wondering if they're going to try to auto renew at the $400 rate, at the rate I agreed to when I signed up or what. Seems I saw a banner that they have a deal at $97. Dunno what it gets you.

Good luck to them. The credit card I used is dead.

I've got some pics I never put up but I'm waiting until I decide where to host them. I looked around before signing up with PB but didn't like any of the choices.

                    • Buncha pics not working now that I think were showing earlier today.

For example, in Post #151 the first and fourth and sixth don't show. The second, third and fifth do.

                      Your test pic works.

                      • I checked with PB apparently I am still allowed to link until December 2018. after that it will stop. I think I am going to find another photo hosting site and get it established before I get back to work on the Waggy and start posting pictures from there and transition all the other pictures over so that they are still in the thread.

                              • I have not worked on Project Daily Driver in quite some time. The only thing I have done is go out and start it and move it around whenever I could. A lot of things have been going on with myself and family. Illness, and just plain life derailed this project. The last few years were pretty rough. It was not all bad, I became a grandpa for the first time. I was blessed to be able to spend a lot of time with my daughter and new granddaughter. I have finally gotten back to a point where I have a little time for myself and Project Daily Driver. I guess we will see what happens once we get past this cold spell!!
