First build ever 72 j4000

I bought it back in aug this year. I just finished painting the frame & installing carpet in the cab. I've never did any type of body work up till now. @ the moment I'm trying to figure out how to make a 74 signal switch work in my 72.

Color codes

The color codes don't match up not even in the shop manual. I took the two manuals & matched up the wires. I'm still in the process in drawing it out & making new plugs so if it ever goes bad I can unplug it & just make a new plug for the new switch. I just hope it all works right.
