360 first...then look at the 383. I installed the driver's side leaf spring today. It took 7 hours, but I got her done. The good news...the Cherokee now sits level.
The tailgate opens/closes freely with no binding in evidence.
And for my next project.

Spring has sprung and sounds like your spring has been hung as well..
Been beating on my 85 J10 the past few weeks finally. wow does this thing drive nice. Can't believe I parked it when I bought it and just let it sit there all this time.
Time to prep it for a voyage this July to CO. That means some short trips in our region. We need a weekend camp out or something for a night at least. Maybe we could drive down to Rush Off road park. I'd like to get some sort of trail time in before heading west.
I would also be very interested in heading to the ECI with this truck.
And for those who don't know what truck I present to you my non brow truck.. Don't tell Bryan Pigsmith. He'll think I converted for good.

1980 J20 Utility bed truck. Factory cab and chassis truck. Many new mods for it but it will look all stock.
1985 J10 nothing special just a nice clean stock truck.
1977 Honcho "Blue" 401/400/quad. Under going major upgrades.."This is Not Your Fathers Honcho", it may not even be a Honcho anymore when done.
2017 Challenger. Very jealous of the Jeeps.Comment

John offered to host a M/G towards the last of the year. Maybe the offer is still out there. There is always my place too. I'll cook up some chili and burgers. Sarah would like to see all of her friends.

The front clip is now off except for the inner fenders. I can pull the engine tomorrow in order to replace the pilot bushing.
Too bad I didn't have a new one when we installed the transmission last fall.

The engine/transmission are out so I can replace that worn out pilot bushing we found. It would have been a little easier to replace if I'd had it in hand the first time. All of the front sheet metal is off, so I'm going to clean/paint/rewire while the engine is out of the way. Other than that, nothing much is going on.

I just finished painting the inner fender skirts, firewall, and front valance. After they dry enough to be handled,I re-install them. First the engine/transmission have to go back. Everything is bolted up ready to go....heck it's even sitting on the engine lift.

I really need to get busy on mine as well. First have to decide if I am going to give up on the body and find another to use. Mines way rough, and going to need a lot of work.
