confirmed today the pump did in fact burn up! unloaded off trailer and it was smoking bad!so hot i couldn't touch it, after trying to steer! found my other steering box under my work bench that has 4 bolt pattern drill and tap it as well. then maybe tear down the broken one and put new parts in the broke one that's 4 bolt as well! then i am gonna install that frigging tad brace that knocked some sense into me!after i install a new pump tomorrow
michael i never saw my 2 girls so excited, that i have a back seat again

We still haven't unpacked, so I dunno if we have it or not. I don't think so...

I'm going to have my students turn it into some type of prize that gets moved from one person to the next over the years.
It's probably in Flint's back seat area but did anyone wind up with my black camera bag?
Not really a camera bag, IIRC it says Que USB on it.
I have the camera, it's just got some cables and binoc's in there.
Nothing important but the binoc's were my late fathers and I would hate to loose them.

funny coincidence eh????
I'll be placing the pic's and vid' I have on my TT's site in a few days.
I'm a bit fed up with the whole FB thing where older comp's can't upgrade and PB is too slow.
It was a great trip even with only driving a trail for 30 minutes or so.
Miss you folks already.

I'm running a homemade steering box brace and a J20 box.
Your carnage has really got me thinking... That's the second broken steering gear I've seen this year. I'm gonna grab one of my old boxes and tap 'em for hydro assist and carry 'em as a spare.

thanks for the leaf spring bolt and rock lights! And some good humor!
Oh and thanks for Tad for the spare leaf spring. It's still on there and working fine!
I don't have a pic of the broken spring, but it was a 3 year old BJ's 2" spring. Broke in half right at the leaf spring plate. I actually drove it back to camp with a broken leaf

Good times were had in Las Cruces!
The old Honcho performed amazingly well yet again. Ran over lots of rocks and lots of pavement to/from

i cant get my rig to steer. it was a little slow when i parked it now i get nothing. i have changed the pump with a new one that has been on the shelf for a coule of years. i seem to get good pressure to the orbital but no matter how many times you turn the wheel it never moves. i did take the orbital apart a while back because it was slow. i didnt see how anything could wear out. if anyone has any sugestions feel free to share
