  • What rig will you bring?

    Every year I bring something different. I have shown up in a ZJ, a GW, a '79 Chief, a CJ-7 and a '78 Chief.

I have something completely different in the works for this year. And yeah I'll probably wait until the last minute to get it ready...as usual!

    I'm calling it 'Warf Rat' (you'll know why when you see the POS). It's a '77 J10 that's getting a J-20 rear and a GM D60 front = J-30?

    What will you bring?

If I come (just found out my brother is getting married that weekend in North Dakota, and I'm supposed to be in the wedding party ) AND if everything goes as planned this weekend, I will be in what I'm calling the $1 Grand Waggy (cause I'll have way less than a grand in it). 88 GW, SOA'd on 35" boggers. Still keeping my fingers crossed that something doesn't happen to prevent this deal from going down.

If I am still on the east coast, it will depend on what has happened to my corral of junk between now and then.
If I still have this 78NT, I may bring it and try to "fix" the bodywork.
If not, the 88 GW dang sure better be drivable by then...unless I have it torn down for body/paint if life gets good again...in which case it will be the 78.

You can bet that if I end up with the YJ again, I will slap a locker in the rear of it first! And maybe some lift.. and if you are going to lift it, might as well put some GW D44's under it, right? NO! Wait, no additional projects until I get one of these others finished!
One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.

Well if I get the unimog axles under, the atlas in, the 4-link done, coilovers mounted, steering setup, oh..and the body work done, I'll be taking my '88 as usual.

Or just the body work done and the springs swapped out, because I have none of those parts

nah... just bring it and roll it on its other side and let the body straighten itself out

Same rig I brought last year. Unless the chosen one's economic plans make life much richer. (not holding my breath) It will be in the same condition, aside from the TFI that got added last summer.

The 88GW will definitely be there, the jury is still out on the 78 J10.

Well, I hoping to attend my 1st ECI this year. I would like to bring my j20, but if I don't have lockers, lift, and tires, I'll be bringing my scrambler. I'm sure I'll catch hell for bringing a baby jp.
Where are we going and why am I in this basket?

IF the sun & moon align perfectly and I can go, the '80 will be pulling the '79.

I plan on showing up again in my re-bodied Honcho. I need a new cab and I have a junk regular bed to throw on while the sportside bed is in storage. I'll have new tires to show off too....

Started a separate thread for parts you need or can bring.

As far as a swap meet on a particular night, well it usually lasts the whole weekend as people break/need things.
