Installing 6" lift!

Just some random pics of my install. thought i would share!

this is what rustys off road sent me

this is with the rear on.

got the front on just gotta change the break lines and slap the shocks on and its ready for the road as soon as my sway bar disconnects get here from bj's. anyone running this lift have any problems that i should be aware of?

i wish that was my personal shop! That's at my job. luckily i get to work on my own vehicles when we are slow at work. i work at a commercial tire shop changing tractor trailer tires all day. Thank you for all the compliments. I didn't want to chop the fenders but i wanted to fit 35's more so out came the sawz-all and grinder...lol.

You'd have to cut a little to be able to stuff 33's with a 6" anyway...don't feel bad. Mine's about get cut some more too. Good job on the cuts. I'm going for the same look. I've been dreamin about turning mine into a green de-wooded waggy and getting on 35's. I'm going to de-wood and keep the color though. It's grown on me. Nice truck.

I am not a fan of the green either...that was the PO choice of ugly. I plan on getting it in the garage soon and putting it back to the white that it was. I think white with black bumpers (pre runner front and a custom rear with spare carrier) will look real nice. But until then itll be ugly so i can off road with out worry...lol. Thanks for all the compliments!

ok i took my first road test today. got a little drive line vibration. i think i may have to loose the front springs and throw in some shims. anyone got any other advice? also my lower ball joint is loose. would that cause a vibration or just a clunking?

Okay I've done some research and am completely confused. Every where I read it says that I can run the 6" lift with the stock drive train. I have a vibration in the rear drive shaft. comes in at 55 and fades a little at 65. I am at a loss. i have checked all the u joints front and rear and they are all good. no play what so ever. they have all been grease as well as the entire front end. and it just came out of the alignment shop. any input would be appreciated.

the block for the rear is tapered at 5 degrees...or so says rustys offroad and all the tires still have all the weights.

Speed sensitive is either tires or drive shaft. First and easiest thing to do is rotate the tires then road test.

Remember rear pinion angle should be the same as the rear transfer case out put angle with a single cardan style drive shaft. So if your transfer rear output is at 7* then you want you pinion at 7*.
