KOA Cancellation

Did that get your attention? Just wanted to get some info out to everyone who is reserved at KOA...

If you find that you can't make it to Ouray and have reservations at KOA, you will forfeit $10 of your deposit to cancel your reservations if it is more than 48 hours before your reservation date. If you cancel within 48 hours, you forfeit your entire deposit. This is slightly different than years past because they have had to adopt a corporate wide KOA policy for cancellations.

Thank You, that is all...

Deposit?? I've never left a deposit before? In the past Dave just marked me in and I paid when I got there.
Is this new? Something I should be doing??

Ahhh Yessss....

This change went into affect after we started reserving sites for 07. Krista and I got ours in before the policy change. Those who reserved early may not have paid the first day site rental with a credit card upon reserving the site (as in years past).

If anyone has specific questions about their reservations, the best source for info is to call KOA - 1-800-KOA-8026. Again, 1-800-562-8026.

yeah, think when I reserved thought I read a disclaimer of "one day's" worth forfeiture if canceling.
Too many cancelations add up I guess, yet Ouray hasn't had any problem filling up with drive-ins. Just co. policy I spose.

dummie me..just re-read my email from Dave sent eons ago...

Cancellation Requirements for Deposit Refund
>> If you are unable to honor your reservation, call and cancel prior to these
>>deadlines: * RV/Tent: 48 Hours - Notify KOA by 4 p.m. two days prior to
>>arrival date. * Kabin: 7 Days - Notify KOA one week prior to arrival date.
>> Reservations made after deadlines will require a non-refundable deposit.
>>
>> Cancellation Charges
>> A $10 cancellation fee charged for cancellations made prior to deadline.
>>Cancellations after deadline will result in forfeiture of all deposit.

I did a shakedown run this weekend and I still have charging and cooling issues so I have called off my trip to Ouray this year.

Have fun without me
