My boss is into traditional hot rods. He told me I could very easily make a drop axle. But just thinking out my options.
Well ... my Lowrider Cherokee is LOW, but it uses a 78 Z28 front subframe and rear axle. The rear axle is spring under and blocked about 3" or more. Rear frame has been boxed and sectioned.

BTW, there was a lowered 4x4 Cherokee in CA a while back. I would guess you could drop stock by 3-4" maybe. Depends how close the axle gets to the oil pan.
